Big Ten, Big 12 and other conferences cancel their men's basketball tournaments

The Big Ten, Southeastern, Big 12, Big East and Atlantic Coast conferences canceled their remaining games of their respective men's basketball tournaments on Thursday because of the coronavirus pandemic. The American Athletic and Atlantic 10 conferences also have canceled their men's tournaments.

The Pac-12 canceled all athletic competitions Thursday, including the men's basketball tournament, until further notice.

The moves comes a day after the NCAA announced that fans will not be allow to attend men's and women's basketball tournaments. The NBA, NHL, Major League Soccer and the ATP Tour have all suspended play.
