Sherdley Park in St Helens will be the scene for a fireworks display to celebrate Bonfire Night 2019 .
The Big Spark in the Park show will take place on Tuesday, November 5 and is free to attend.
The Constellations-themed fireworks display, called The Creation, will be launched in rhythm with music, which features conjuring images of the creation of the universe.
The display is expected to dazzle thousands of spectators and there will be funfair attractions to add the the entertainment.
St Helens Council’s portfolio holder for culture, Councillor Anthony Burns said: "Constellations is set to build on the successes of last year’s incredible Lost Castles project, by sparking cultural engagement across the Liverpool City Region.
"In St Helens, we’re taking our Constellations experience ‘The Creation’ to the skies with our brilliant Bonfire Night event, Spark in the Park, which has increased in popularity over recent years, and this event promises to be a fantastic occasion for all the family to enjoy."
Event timings
All the entertainment begins at 6pm and the fireworks display takes place at approximately 7.30pm. The funfair will be open until 8.30pm.
Getting to the event
Interest in this event is expected to be high, so organisers encourage visitors to arrive in good time, and to travel by public transport where possible, such as to and from Lea Green railway station.
Car parking is available at Mere Grange; the Islamic Centre; Marshalls Cross Road; Sherdley Park; Lea Green Station and Sutton Leisure Centre for £10 per vehicle.
