OK, now I'm off to the open road. My wife and I are driving to Minneapolis-St. Paul via Mt. Rushmore. We arrive in MSP Sunday afternoon. I'll file occasional reports from heartland America in the interim.
And of course the college football season kicks into gear Saturday. Week one usually features national powers vs. little sisters of the poor but even so I've made sure the rental car has a satellite radio to get ESPN.
