Big queues in Liverpool city centre as Cadbury Secret Santa postal service returns

Hundreds of people queued up in Liverpool today when Cadbury’s Secret Santa postal service arrived in the city.

People were given a free bar of chocolate to post anonymously to a loved one in time for Christmas Day.

The service was set up in Williamson Square and was open from 11am to 7pm, having proved popular during its visit to the city last year .

Those in the queue were able to choose from Cadbury favourites, including Dairy Milk, Whole Nut, Caramel, Fruit and Nut and Oreo bars.

Purple envelopes were provided and people were able to send them off for free to surprise someone this Christmas.

The pop up post box is on a tour of the UK visiting 10 locations, with the service still to visit Birmingham and two other secret locations.
