Big queues at Leeds train station - but not for the reason you might think

People were left queuing through Leeds train station this lunchtime - but for once it wasn't due to delayed services or overcrowding.

Instead, a few lucky customers were given the chance to be among the first to try the city's first Leon restaurant.

The healthy eating fast food chain has predominantly focused on London since it arrived on the UK market in 2004, but is opening its first restaurant in Leeds tomorrow (Tuesday) at the train station.

But before the official opening on Tuesday, a handful of customers got a taste of what to expect after they were given an exclusive invite to the new fast food restaurant.

Leon will officially open in Leeds on Tuesday next to KFC. It will become the first Leon restaurant in Yorkshire and only the fourth in the north of England.

The fast food chain is based on healthy eating, with a number of dishes inspired by Mediterranean cuisine.
