Moises Henriques has set the platform while Sean Abbott and Peter Nevill added some late grunt as NSW scored a formidable first innings total against Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield.
The Blues declared at 6-443 midway through the second session on day two at Adelaide's Gladys Elphick Park, giving the strong batting WA line-up plenty to do.
Early indications suggested they were up to the task - going to tea at 0-55 with former Test opener Cameron Bancroft (23) and Sam Whiteman (23) unbeaten.
Day one star Henriques (167) again looked in imperious touch, hitting three boundaries in the opening hour before being caught by Cameron Green at mid-on from the bowling of Matthew Kelly (1-79).
It was part of a 3-10 mini-collapse by the Blues, who'd also lost 3-17 on day one.
Daniel Solway (86), who formed a 244-run partnership with Henriques, looked to be homing in on his second first-class century before he played on to Ashton Agar (2-106).
And when Agar quickly picked up Jason Sangha (7) the Blues innings looked at risk of petering out.
Enter Nevill (56 not out) and Abbott (60 no) with the pair adding 118 runs in quick time, the latter crushing four sixes in an entertaining knock.
