Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, the absurdist duo whose comedy career stretches over 25 years, are to go on a nationwide tour entitled The Poignant Moments.
Bob Mortimer announced the tour on Twitter, and it looks set to feature a host of the pair’s ridiculous character sketches from across their career, including lovelorn crooner duo Mulligan and O’Hare, mellifluously-voiced men-children Davey and Donald Stott, and gentlemen of leisure Tom and Derek Fun. Mortimer is also encouraging his followers to suggest their own favourite characters to include.

The pair began working together in 1990 on madcap variety performance Vic Reeves’ Big Night Out, before creating sketch shows The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer and Bang Bang, It’s Reeves and Mortimer, plus the quiz shows Shooting Stars and Families at War. They have also created comedy dramas, the most recent being sitcom House of Fools, currently airing on BBC2.
The Poignant Moments tour begins on 11 November at Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow, and plays 13 more cities, ending in Brighton on 4 December.
