Gini Wijnaldum leaves Liverpool fans saying the same thing after Holland goals

Georginio Wijnaldum continues to rub salt in Liverpool fans wounds with another impeccable goal-scoring performance for Holland.

Representatives of the club and the player failed to agree an extension for the 30-year-old, each game he continues to show those in charge at the club what they will be missing next season as he tries his luck in Ligue 1.

Frank de Boer and Jurgen Klopp's philosophy both differ using Wijnaldum in different ways but it seems to be the Dutch manager who is getting the best out of his skipper.

His brace against North Macedonia not only helped them to nine points in style but saw him move level with Cristiano Ronaldo and Patrik Schick as the tournament's top goal scorers after his tournament opener against Ukraine.

Memphis Depay opened the scoring in the first half and then turned provider as he put Wijnaldum's first goal on a plate to double their lead.

Shortly before the hour mark, he made it three tapping into the roof of the net on the rebound after Steven Berghuis' initial effort was saved.

As Wijnaldum chipped in with a brace, Liverpool fans were left reeling over his eight-minute brace.

The double moves Wijnaldum 15th in Holland's all-time record goalscorers ahead Liverpool legend Dirk Kuyt and Marco van Basten, they will now play the third best-placed team from Group's D, E or F.

Wijnaldum will join his new Paris Saint-Germain teammates following the conclusion of this summer's European Championship.
