Big largemouth bass in big spring wind: Mike Krikshiunas does it his way in Lake County in Indiana

Mike Krikshiunas of Portage made a windy Wednesday work for him in Lake County, Indiana with a 6.04-pound largemouth bass.

“Overcast and 57 degrees, throwing a custom 1/2-ounce jig I make myself with a green pumpkin Strike King Rage Tail Craw on the back, dragging it on the bottom and bam: choked it!!” he emailed.

It’s that time of the year. With the sporadic warm days, more than walleye and crappie are going. And, as his bass shows, some of those largemouth are more than worthy.
