Pals of Scots mum found dead raising cash for her three children to pay for funeral as man charged with murder

A fundraising drive has been launched in honour of 'a loving, big hearted' Scots mum after she was found dead by police at a home.

Michelle Lizanec, of Catmoor Avenue, Scone, was found by cops at a property on Orchard Way, Inchture, at around 11.40pm last Saturday, February 13.

A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged over the 44-year-old's death after a 12-hour long siege at a Dundee house.

Tributes have poured in for Michelle who was hailed as a 'a lovely woman' by pals.

Now friends of Michelle, Suzanne Cunningham and Robert Dow, have urged people to help her children out during 'this horrific time'.

In a heartbreaking message launching a GoFundMe page to cover funeral costs, Suzanne hailed Michelle as 'a loving, big hearted woman that wholeheartedly loved her kids'.

She wrote: "(We) are wondering if we could all dig deep and maybe help out Ebony, Sophie and John Lizanec.

"The reason for asking is their family have suffered a big loss after their mum Michelle was killed.

"We are all in a place that is hard right now and we feel a little extra to help them to go towards a headstone or funeral costs or even if they need anything at all.

"Michelle Lizanec was a loving, big hearted woman that wholeheartedly loved her kids and would do anything for them.

"I feel that every little helps them at this horrific time.

"Losing a parent is bad enough but the circumstances surrounding this is heart breaking to say the least.

"She was taken far too soon. So if you could just help out a little that would be amazing.

"Come on let show these kids some love and support at this sad time.”

At the time of writing the drive has raised £615.

John Lizanec appeared in private at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday afternoon.

The 46-year-old made no plea during the short hearing where he faced one charge of murder.
