It was hair today and gone tomorrow for one kind Scot - as he shaved off his locks to raise thousands for NHS workers.
Big-hearted Steven Shankland razored off his hair on Thursday to raise cash for medics and volunteers battling the Covid-19 outbreak.
The 32-year-old grounds worker was stunned to see the total rocket over the coming days.
It now stands at more than £2,100 and continues to rise.

He was inspired when he saw brother Mark's new barnet on social media and he and brother-in-law Reagan came up with the skinhead plan.
Steven, from Mauchline, Ayrshire, has now nominated other pals to take part in the challenge- although he admits his girlfriend isn't too keen on the new cut.

He said: "Me and my brother in-law came up with the idea to shave our heads and nominate other people to shave their head to raise some cash for the great job the NHS are doing to show we appreciate them.
"It's been a great effort from everybody and a bit of fun in these anxious times we have found ourselves in.
"I thought we would maybe raise a couple of hundred pounds so I've been blown away to see how the total just keeps going up and up.
"It really is great, especially at a time where people are anxious and uncertain about money.
"It's amazing that everyone has dug so deep and I think that shows how much people love the NHS.
"The idea is you nominate others to take on the challenge- or they can avoid the cut by donating to the NHS."
He joked: "I'm staying with my girlfriend just now and while she supports the idea, she's not too keen on the cut.
"I've never tried a skinhead before and I never realised how much my hair is receding. It's all for a good cause though."
As well as cash, a flurry of friends and relatives have flooded him with good wishes.
