Big hearted schoolgirl raises over £400 for the Little Princess Trust with dramatic haircut

A big-hearted schoolgirl has raised over £400 for charity by having 12 inches chopped from her hair.

East Calder Primary School pupil Freya Hand decided she wanted to help children who are undergoing treatment for cancer and so she donated her hair and £419 to the Little Princess Trust.

Her mum Sammie, stepdad Jamie, little brother Alfie (3) and her whole family are all super proud of her willingness to help others.

Sammie said: “Freya is very conscious of the fact that there are children much less fortunate than herself and she’s wanted to donate her hair to Princess Trust for a long time but also wanted to wait until her hair was long enough to make it really worthwhile.”
