Big hair, unbuttoned shirts and more than a little fake tan - this is how we dressed on a night out in the 00s

Ah Oceana. You didn't know a proper night out until you spent an evening at Oceana.

It might not have been your best night but it's almost a rite of passage growing up in the 00s.

There was an Oceana, now Pryzm, in most cities and towns across the UK and they were all, to a fault, the same.

From the garish furniture to the ghastly disco dance floor that became worryingly more appealing the more WKD Blues you consumed through the night.

Boys wore shirt, jeans, leather shoes and wet-look gel. Girls wore crop tops, flares and choke necklaces, and sometimes a scrunchie. That was the uniform.

It was strictly pop and R 'n' B those days in the nightclubs with Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake dominating the tracks.

But besides the terrible drinks, the questionable fashion and the very mainstream music, those of a certain age will remember their Oceana nights and recall with fascination, and a little horror, what we used to get up to.

And for an unfortunate few there's photographic evidence. Enjoy!
