'Big guns up front'- Tottenham fans react to what Jose Mourinho has done vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho's team selection for this evening's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has sparked a reaction from a large number of Spurs fans.

The last time Mourinho's team took on Roy Hodgson's Palace the match ended 1-1 with a late Jeffrey Schlupp equaliser cancelling out Harry Kane's opener.

Following Liverpool's sixth straight home defeat on Sunday afternoon and West Ham United not playing until Monday evening, Spurs know a win will see them leapfrog both and move into sixth spot just two points behind Chelsea in the fourth Champions League place.

Jose Mourinho unsurprised Wilfried Zaha is fit to face Spurs

Tottenham have won four of their last five in all competitions following an awful run of five defeats in seven matches and Mourinho has made a number of changes to his side in recent weeks, including rare league starts for Gareth Bale and Dele Alli.

Bale once again starts this evening in a move that has been greeted with joy by many Spurs fans but Alli finds himself relegated to the substitutes bench once more.

Mourinho has made a number of other changes to the starting line-up with Sergio Reguilon, Harry Winks and Lucas Moura coming into the team at the expense of Ben Davies, Tanguy Ndombele and Alli

Tottenham starting line-up: Lloris (C); Doherty, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Reguilon; Højbjerg, Winks; Lucas, Bale, Son, Kane; Substitutes: Hart, Dier, Davies, Sissoko, Alli, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Lamela, Vinicius.

Most of the reaction to Mourinho's line-up has centred around the selection of Winks over Ndombele and Matt Doherty retaining his place. However, the inclusion of Bale once more has delighted the Tottenham faithful.

Above, football.london has taken a close look at what some Spurs fans have had to say on social media in response.
