Big group of Santas spotted walking through Bristol

Christmas is finally here - at least it is for over 20 Santas raising money for a good cause.

Today (August 14, 2021) some 20 people dressed as the festive fellow, as well as elves, are walking around Bristol, crossing 44 bridges from noon to midnight.

The aim of the event, postponed from last Christmas due to the pandemic, is to raise £10,000 for the work of charity Feeding Dreams Cambodia.

A spokesman for the fundraisers said: "Put simply, they educate and feed around 800 children and young adults who would otherwise end up in a life worse than most of our worst nightmares.

"Check out www.feedingdreamscambodia.org or www.feedingdreamsuk.org to get a better picture.

"They get no government support and the only funds they receive come from donations from generous people like you!"

The event finishes with a Santa procession across the Clifton Suspension Bridge at midnight.

Fundraisers are sharing real time WhatsApp updates throughout the walk.

The spokesman added: "We thank you for supporting this amazing organisation in challenging times at both home and abroad.

"Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will go a long way to help those who are massively disadvantaged through no fault of their own."
