Finishing ninth in the top flight was the undoubted highlight, as was seeing local Leeds lad represent the club and region with pride on the international stage at Euro 2020.
However, the stark realities of Premier League football, coupled with a devastating injury crisis have made for a more sombre conclusion to 2021.
Hopefully 2022 will start with some wins, maybe even some new arrivals certainly at least less injuries and illness.
