A clutch of media high-fliers will be crying into their lattes - or not - this morning as they drop off the chart following the news that Archie Norman, former Tory MP and Asda chief executive, has landed the ITV chairman role.
So Norman takes the first ITV rosette - and will have a large say in who joins him in the bottom right corner of the Big Cheese Chart as the broadcaster's chief executive.
Will the new chairman be tempted to enlist a former colleague as at ITV he looks to repeat the trick of reversing the fortunes of ailing supermarket Asda? Watch this space.
On which note, step forward Allan Leighton, part of Norman's management team at Asda and a former Royal Mail chairman, and Cable & Wireless UK executive chairman John Pluthero, who worked with Norman at Energis. They are newcomers to the chart as ITV chief exec contenders.
