Big changes are coming for Apex Legends’ Revenant in Season 18

Apex Legends Season 18 is coming up fast, with some significant changes in store for Revenant, one of the multiplayer game’s oldest heroes who’s fallen by the wayside in recent years. Apex Legends Season 18, officially called Resurrection, is transforming Revenant to the point that he’s almost a new character.

This new-and-improved version is called Revenant Resurrection and includes a new skin and a completely revamped kit for battle. His new passive is Assassin’s Instinct keeps his crouch and wall-running speed buffs and adds a handy new feature: red outlines for enemies at low health. The rest of the squad can see the outline if Revenant Resurrected brought them to low health.

Shadow Pounce is his new tactical, a massive leap that Respawn said has about as much power as an Octane pad and makes closing in on weak foes much easier. You can charge it for greater control over how far you leap as well.

Finally is Revenant Resurrected’s new ultimate: Forged Shadows. It’s a skill that essentially exists to let you use Shadow Pounce more often. Forged Shadows increases Revenant’s hitbox size and absorbs all damage taken while the ultimate is active, and any kills Revenant makes during Forged Shadows recharge Shadow Pounce.

It’s a sweeping set of changes that gives Revenant a much-needed new identity, especially after Seer made him practically obsolete.

Apex Legends season 18 launches Aug. 8, 2023, for PC and console.
