Ed Begley Jr. nominated his son Camden for “this tanker,” a brown trout caught from shore in Milwaukee.
“It was my first time giving the bead game a try,” Camden messaged. “I just started trout fishing about a month and a half ago and I would use spawn sacs or crankbaits. So I decided to try beads and, on my fifth drift, I nailed this beautiful female. I guess anywhere from 10-12 pounds, about 30 inches long.”
The learning curve is always a big part of fishing.
FOTW, the celebration of big fish and their stories (the stories matter, as this one shows) around Chicago fishing, runs Wednesdays in the paper Sun-Times. The online posting here at https://chicago.suntimes.com/outdoors goes up at varied days of the week, depending on what is going on the wide world of the outdoors.
