Big Brother star Sallie Axl arrested after video emerges of her 'stabbing ex' in front of toddler

Big Brother contestant Sallie Axl was arrested for allegedly assaulting her ex-boyfriend after a video emerged of her appearing to stab her ex with scissors.

Sallie, real name Sally Pryzbeck, was shown in the video thrusting the scissors towards her former partner Gerard Williams while a toddler looked on.

The 32-year-old, from Wirral, shared the news on Instagram, writing: "I was arrested last night for a section 18. I can not believe he has done this to me.

"My phone has been seized. I will fight this. How can he do this to me? All the times I have done everything for him. And I'm arrested. I will fight this in court see you there."

In the video Ms Pryzbeck appears to have a cut on her wrists, and in posts to her Instagram page claimed the incident had taken place "a year ago."

Ms Pryzbeck also says she was at "breaking point" and that Mr Williams had "laughed at her" while she was self-harming.

Merseyside Police had previously confirmed they were "making enquiries" into the video, and a spokesman for the force confirmed that a 32-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday, March 28 on suspicion of assault.

The force confirmed the woman was released on conditional bail until Wednesday, April 24.

Ms Pryzbeck was the first person to be evicted from the 2013 edition of the Channel 5 programme, and has since gone on to pursue a career in glamour modelling.

She moved out of her apartment in Village Court, Dean Road in Wallasey on July 8 2013 to move into the Big Brother House.

She appeared on the show under the name of Sallie Axl and never moved back into the Village Court apartment when she left the programme. But she continued to be paid housing benefit.

Disturbing question crying girl, 7, asked mum brutally attacked by ex-boyfriend

The Department for Work and Pensions carried out a check on her housing benefit claim and discovered that she hadn’t been living in the apartment since July 2013 and had moved into her mum’s house in Wallasey when she left the show.

The investigation revealed that she’d failed to inform Wirral Borough Council of the change in her circumstances and, as a result, had been overpaid £12,349.82 in housing benefit.

Ms Pryzbeck told investigators that she’d claimed housing benefit because she’d separated from her partner and was a single parent living on a low income.

She pleaded guilty to a charge of dishonestly failing to notify a change of circumstances, affecting entitlement to social security benefit at an earlier hearing.

She was ordered to repay £12,000 and complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
