Big Brother’s new era is entering its third season this year, after making a comeback in 2023 after a five-year hiatus.
Airing on ITV, all eyes are now on Big Brother for when people can get their fix of reality TV.
The show follows a group of people confined to one house, typically for six weeks, with the public able to vote on who gets kicked out of the house.
The winner – the last one standing – takes home a cash prize.
This year is set to be a longer series, with an estimated 42 episodes airing over the course of seven weeks, rather than six. That’s still much shorter than the US runtime of three months.
With a semi-confirmed launch date, here’s an idea of when to expect the next season of Big Brother.
When will series three of Big Brother come to ITV this year?
According to reports from TV Zone, the new series of Big Brother will air on ITV from Sunday, September 28. Episodes will be broadcast every day of the week except Saturday.
Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best are expected to return, while the cast itself will of course all be new, ready to take on a fresh round of tasks, gossip, fights, and live evictions.
Every episode will also be followed by Big Brother: Late & Live, which features a live audience and more exclusive content.
That often includes interviews with evicted contestants or appearances from past faces.
Speaking of past Big Brother contestants, the original show winner Craig Phillips has warned those interested in the show to steer clear of taking part.
“Over the years, people would stop me in the street and say, ‘I’ve applied for Big Brother; what advice would you give me?’,” he said. “And I would look at them and go, ‘Don’t do it!’”
