Big Brother Australia 2025 contestant Vinnie Brigante is proving there’s no set path for an Aussie reality star once their show wraps up on TV.
Typically, ex-contestants either monetise their five minutes of fame by joining OnlyFans and doing brand deals on social media or by attempting to ride the wave through launching a podcast and appearing on another show.
Fresh off this year’s season of Big Brother, Vinnie is setting his sights on a much bigger goal.

Big Brother’s Vinnie wants to star in Tangled
Following his brutal eviction on the Channel 10 show, Vinnie has been using his newfound platform to share his biggest dream: starring in Disney’s live-action remake of Tangled.
It was announced in December 2024 that Disney would be remaking the 2010 animated movie about Rapunzel being rescued by an outlaw named Flynn Rider.
Casting hasn’t been announced, but former child star Mckenna Grace is reportedly the frontrunner for the lead role after pop queen Sabrina Carpenter and Oscar nominee Florence Pugh were originally rumoured to be in the mix.
Marvel actors Scarlett Johansson and Kathryn Hahn have also been circled to play Mother Gothel and 2025’s breakout star Mason Thames is said to be up for the role of Flynn Rider.
Now, Vinnie is throwing his hat in the ring. He posted a PSA to his Instagram Story on Tuesday saying that he was “born” to play Flynn and asked his followers to connect him with any casting directors or Disney employees who could help him pursue his dream.
The 21-year-old ex-Deal or No Deal contestant also shared a video of himself acting out a scene from the film as an “unofficial audition”.
Vinnie told PEDESTRIAN.TV that Tangled is his “favourite Disney movie of all time” and his biggest dream is to pursue a career in both music and acting.
“I want to win an Oscar and a Grammy one day. I’ve always loved film, I have a deep, deep passion for it and I feel like I’d be a great actor,” he said.
Vinnie, who has over 170,000 followers on TikTok, admitted he has very little acting experience. However, he landed a role in a short film earlier this year, which was set to go ahead before he was cast on Big Brother and had to pull out.
“Now that I’m off the show, a lot more doors are opening up and I’d be an idiot not to take opportunities with two hands. And Tangled is my favourite Disney movie of all time,” he shared.
“I love everything about it. I’m going to propose to my future wife at some sort of replica of where the lanterns happen.”

Vinnie’s ‘delusional confidence and extreme manifestation’ in action
Since posting his callout to his followers, Vinnie teased that he has made some steps towards achieving his dream of starring in Tangled.
“I don’t know what I can say, but I have had a lot of people reach out that know people that know people that know people,” he said.
This wouldn’t be the first time Vinnie’s self-proclaimed “delusional confidence and extreme manifestation” has worked out for him. In 2023, US country singer Zach Bryan pulled him on stage in Melbourne to perform his song “Heading South” to a crowd of 30,000 people.
“I DM’d him about a month and a half before [his concert], saying, ‘Hey mate, I’m going to be in the crowd, you’re going to pull me out. Hopefully, I’ll show you this message if I remember, if I’m not on too much of a high’. I messaged him as if we were mates,” he shared.
“And out of all 30,000 people — and people had double the size of the signs as me with fairy lights — he picked me. Like, there is a delusional sort of connection with the energy and cosmos.”
Vinnie also believes he manifested his appearance on Big Brother this year and “the opportunities are endless” now that he’s off the show.
“Why can’t I be the next Jacob Elordi?” he remarked.
Hey, if Tangled doesn’t work out, fingers crossed Euphoria gets a fourth season. If only Neighbours wasn’t cancelled…
