Big Brother's Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace invites NHS workers to live in her flat for free

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, who starred on Big Brother in 2006, has opened up her London flat to NHS workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 41-year-old reality star welcomed doctors and nurses who are isolating from their families to stay with her in King's Cross.

After her Big Brother appearance, Aisleyne built up a property portfolio and made a multi-million pound fortune.

She told The Sun : "I have to do something to help.

"I can't thank all NHS doctors, nurses and staff in general enough for what they're doing.

"They're putting themselves at high risk daily."

The kind-hearted star has also been delivering food from Essex restaurant Sheesh to NHS staff in hospitals, free of charge.

She was joined TOWIE star Joey Essex as they donned protective gear and delivered the food into hospitals in Greater London and Essex.

Aisleyne said it was a scary experience, but that she felt it was important to help feed the workers in this particularly tough time.

The restaurants owners, Dylan Hunt and Rochelle Wood, offered free food to NHS workers when the pandemic first began.

They revealed there was a queue of 300 doctors outside, and so realising demand was so high, they decided to offer free food deliveries once the lockdown came into effect.

Helen Mirren has also been encouraging her followers to support staff working in intensive care during the coronavirus crisis.

The 74-year-old actress is self-isolating, and shared a very honest photo with her Instagram followers.

She posted a makeup free selfie, and wrote alongside it: In return for this pic of me literally first thing in the morning, please donate to the intensive care support."

Helen then included a link to The Intensive Care Society, which supports the medical professionals who are treating those in intensive care.

"Thanks so much," she finished the post.
