Big Brother is back on screens this month as Channel 4 announces return - with a twist

Big Brother fans rejoice - the reality show is coming back to Channel 4 screens this month.

Davina McCall - who fronted the programme between 2000 to 2010 - is returning, along with fan favourite Rylan Clark-Neal, who fronted BB's Bit On The Side.

But there’s a twist - it’s not a new series as we know it.

Instead, Channel 4 has commissioned a new programme of classic highlights called Big Brother’s Best Shows Ever Show, marking 20 years since it launched.

First time round viewers can enjoy a compilation of best bits of the series - which moved over to Channel 5 in 2011 - including its sister show Celebrity Big Brother.

New viewers can finally find out what the fuss was about with a look back on BB and CBB’s best characters - and their most memorable and scandalous moments.

Back in the day it was a pretty feral affair - from the eye watering (Kinga and THAT bottle) to the meltdowns (Nikki Grahame) and some pretty epic entrances - remember Jackie Stallone?

Hopefully there will also be some touching moments too - such as Helen and Paul's blossoming love story from series two.

What’s even better is that Davina and Rylan have helped choose the best clips and filmed from their homes during lockdown.

In an exclusive statement, Davina told The Sun : “I lived and breathed Big Brother for 11 years.

"Not one week goes by when I don’t quote Big Brother in some form.

"It made me laugh, it made me cry and it taught me to never judge a book by its cover.

“I love the show and can’t wait to share it with a whole new audience.”

Rylan is equally delighted by the show’s return.

“I’m so excited to be bringing Big Brother back to our lives,” he said.

“There will be laughs, tears and drama, but most of all we get to relive some of Big Brother’s greatest episodes.”
