Big Brother Fans Call Out ‘Unfair’ Detail In 2025 Finale: ‘What The Hell?’

Big Brother Emily

Big Brother fans have been left fuming following Monday night’s finale and it’s not just because their fave didn’t win.

The mammoth episode began with five housemates left in the house before Allana Jackson, Bruce Dunne and Colin Ridley were individually evicted. The eliminees were each given a moment on stage to yap with host Mel Tracina about their experience and reunite with their family after being locked away for 30 days.

It was then down to just Coco Beeby and Emily Dale, with both finalists shown a highlight package of their journey in the house as they anxiously waited for the result. In the end, Coco was announced as the winner of Big Brother 2025 and received the $135,000 cash prize.

Big Brother fans point out ‘unfair’ detail

After a quick ad break, Coco was shown walking out on the stage to speak with Mel and reunite with her kids as the crowd cheered her on.

While viewers were thrilled for the mum-of-three, social media became flooded with comments asking why Emily wasn’t given a moment on stage.

And considering Colin’s five-minute exit interview was mainly him saying “brev” and shouting out people in the crowd, it’s not hard to understand the outrage.

“That ending was a complete disservice to Emily, what the hell? She was runner-up for a reason?” one fan wrote on X.

“I genuinely can’t wrap my head around the fact every housemate got an interview and to see their family on stage but Emily didn’t!?” another remarked.

Others described Emily’s snub as “rude”, “unfair” and “disrespectful”, with a handful even suggesting they might not tune in next season.

Why wasn’t Emily shown on stage?

PEDESTRIAN.TV has done some digging and discovered that Emily did get a moment on stage following her eviction, but it just wasn’t shown on TV.

Former Big Brother winner Benjamin Norris was in the crowd and told P.TV that her exit was a “blink and you’ll miss it moment” during the ad break.

“She was brought on stage and quickly hugged both Mel and Mike [Goldman]. The crowd didn’t know what was happening and she was quick to spot her husband and she was placed with him in the audience,” he detailed.

“There was no interview and no fanfare. It made no sense to exclude her that way. However, Emily took it on the chin and seemed happy regardless.”

Former Big Brother contestant Gabe Criste was also in the crowd and documented the moment Emily walked on stage, only to be quickly ushered off.

“I remember Mike Goldman said ‘you guys are in for a treat cause this won’t be aired on TV’, and next minute it was Emily exiting!” he told P.TV.

“I’m not too sure [why], but her exit was so rushed, I felt so bad for her cause everyone got their moment! There was no exit interview or anything for her, but it was nice to see her reuniting with her husband.”

We’ve seen some brutal evictions this season, but Emily being snubbed from both the prize money AND the airtime is a pretty savage move from Big Brother.

Channel 10 has already confirmed the show will be returning in 2026, so let’s hope next year’s runner-up receives a proper farewell.

And hey, if they consider doing an all-star season anytime soon, they know who to call!
