The Big Brother Australia house has been rocked by another snap eviction, and some fans reckon this devilish surprise was worse than Vincent ‘Vinnie’ Brigante‘s Christmas carol dumping.

After three days of speculation, Big Brother Australia confirmed that Edward Doak had been booted from the house.
While most evictions are live, Edward was actually eliminated on Friday.
You see, on Friday, Big Brother treated the housemates to a letter from home. Every single letter sent our housemates into tears.
Ed’s letter was the last one to be read out loud.
While the letter started like the others — mentioning how his family is proud of him and how far he has come in the Big Brother Australia house — the energy shifted when the sentences began to be read in the past tense.
It was then revealed that Ed had been evicted due to Australia’s votes.
The cherry on top? The letter was from Big Brother himself.
So basically, his tears were for Big Brother. WILD.

Off the bat, some people found the impromptu eviction to be quite jarring and “cruel”.
Some people also argued that Ed’s elimination was more brutal than Vinnie’s.
Last week, the 21-year-old was evicted in the middle of the night while singing a Christmas carol for the week’s shopping budget.
If I had to pick between a family letter and a Christmas carol eviction, I would definitely pick the carol. At least that way I can say I wasn’t catfished by Big Brother himself.
