It was a damn close run thing, but in the end tomsk's superb piece on darts deservedly won Big Blogger week four, just ahead of villasupportgroup's leftfield blog on Patrick Roy. A step or two behind were byebyebadman, fourturntables, Skasster and Tastemore 224, all of whom can be proud of making the final in what was a mighty tough field. Our judging panel also offered commendations to Mouth of the Mersey and koaqiunlive.
Right, on to the one you've been waiting for. It's the final, which involves our four weekly winners plus the second-placed writer of week four: cjfthistle, StevenIrelandsGranny, Justy, tomsk and villasupportgroup. The competition runs as follows:

2) The winner will be decided by the editors of guardian.co.uk/sport. We will publish all pieces and announce the winner on Friday.
3) The prize will be a paid commission for guardian.co.uk/sport
4) In all cases the editors' decision is final.
