Congratulations to Justy, whose piece on Munster and the All Blacks was voted the winner of Big Blogger week three. Lasereyedcorgis and his article on Diego Maradona only just missed out on the first prize, finishing second, while MarcelaProust's piece on the failure of Italian defenders in English football was third. Our judging panel also offered commendations to Mofster, EliotP and hydromax for their efforts.
Right, on to this week's competition. We are asking for 700 words of comment on a subject, person or issue of your choice. The winner will then go through to next week's final.
The competition runs as follows:
1) All submissions, which must include your name, blog handle and email address, and must be emailed to sports.editor@guardianunlimited.co.uk with the headline Big Blogger 2008: week 4.
2) Each week we will select the best three blogs and put them to a public vote using our poll mechanism.
3) If there are signs of blatant vote rigging, we will ditch the poll and pick our favourite blog.
4) The four weekly winners will enter a final round where they will be required to submit a further blog. The winner will be decided by the editors of theguardian.com/sport.
5) In all cases the editors' decision is final.
We will be accepting submissions for week four until 1am on Thursday.
Topic for week four: a comment piece on a subject, person or issue of your choice.
