Big Baller Brand co-founder kicked off of ‘Ball in the Family’ reality show

The end to LaVar Ball’s start-up Big Baller Brand appears imminent after ESPN reported that co-founder and convicted fraudster Alan Foster allegedly embezzled Lonzo Ball out of $1.5 million.

The Lakers guard responded to the news by scrubbing Big Baller Brand from his social media, teasing a move to Nike and having his manager literally throw away $495 Big Baller Brand shoes. Foster was understandably fired from Big Baller Brand, and LeBron James cheered on Lonzo for taking control of the situation.

We just probably shouldn’t expect to see this drama between Foster and the Ball’s play out in the Ball in the Family reality show. At least not the face-to-face interactions between Lonzo, LaVar and Foster.

According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, Foster has been dropped from the cast of Ball in the Family. The show will limit his appearances in already-filmed footage, but he will no longer be a part of the show going forward.

Foster had played a prominent role in the show since its first episode aired in 2017. He served as LaVar’s business partner, advisor and was purported to be the one who organized LaMelo’s move to SPIRE Institute in Ohio.

The show also detailed the concerning side of Foster’s business practices. Notably, he displayed a complete lack of awareness when JBA league players confronted him about missed paychecks.

The next episode of Ball in the Family isn’t scheduled to air on Facebook Watch until April 14. We’ll have to see how limited Foster’s role actually is in the show and if the ugly split gets featured.
