Biffy Clyro will play Manchester Arena on UK tour this year

Biffy Clyro have announced a string of massive UK gigs this morning, including a Manchester date.

The Scottish rockers will play at Manchester Arena this October in support of their upcoming eighth studio album, A Celebration of Endings.

This will be their first major UK arena tour since 2016, when they released Ellipsis.

As well as gigging in Manchester, the trio will head to Aberdeen, Glasgow, Nottingham, Newcastle, Birmingham, London, Leeds, Belfast, Dublin, Cardiff and Bournemouth.

They'll then head right across Europe before travelling on to Australia.

Simon Neil, James Johnston and Ben Johnston first formed Biffy Clyro in 1995, achieving their first top ten album with Puzzle, their fourth release.

A Celebration of Endings is due to be released on May 15, which has already spawned the singles Instant History and End Of.

Biffy Clyro will also headline Radio 1's Big Weekend in Dundee, alongside Harry Styles and Dua Lipa.

The group last performed in Manchester in 2018, when they delivered a fully acoustic set at the Opera House.

General tickets will go on sale at 10am on Friday March 20 through Ticketmaster .

Fans who pre-order the new album by 4pm on Monday March 16 will receive exclusive access to a pre-sale for tickets, which opens on Wednesday March 18 at 10am.
