The well-known Biff and Chip school reading books have been made into a TV series coming to CBeebies.
Based on the well-loved characters from the Oxford Reading Tree Books, the series will tell the fun adventures of twins Biff (Tilly Kaye) and Chip (George Robinson) alongside their inquisitive little brother Kipper (Freddie James) and pet dog Floppy.
CBeebies has revealed a first look image of its live action series, which has been filmed in the north west at various locations across Warrington and Urmston, in Trafford.

Taking inspiration from the famous books, Biff & Chip will include storylines written exclusively for the show and will see the characters making up games, solving problems, creating make believe worlds in their homes, playing in the park and having fun with their best friends Wilf (Inathi Rozani) and Wilma Page (Dorothy Peters-Lowe).
A mainstay of the National Curriculum, the books have helped children learn how to read for more than 30 years and are used in 80 per cent of Britain's primary schools.

Back in 2019 we reported how parents were shocked to discover that twins Biff and Chip are actually called Elizabeth and David. And Kipper isn't even Kipper, he's Christopher.
It came after Jo Evans tweeted a photo of a page from one of the books detailing their real names
The series, airing this autumn on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer, will also star Jack Wilkinson as Mr Robinson and Kellie Shirley as Mrs Robinson alongside next door neighbours Mr Page (Des Yankson) and Mrs Page (Shauna Shim).

Melanie Walters, known for playing Gwen in Gavin and Stacey, also joins the cast as the 'fun-loving, energetic and at times mischievous' Gran.
CBeebies Biff & Chip is produced by BBC Children’s In-House Productions with Sue Nott as executive producer.
