Bielsa to prioritise Harrison signing, West Brom eye QPR winger - latest Championship rumours

Everything is in place for a thrilling end to the Championship season, with promotion and relegation looking as though it is going to go to the wire.

Off the pitch, thoughts are already turning to the upcoming transfer window, and with the deadline being extended back to September 2nd, clubs will have extra time to get any deals over the line.

With that in mind, here are today’s transfer rumours from around the Championship.

Bielsa to prioritise Harrison

Marcelo Bielsa will make on-loan Manchester City winger Jack Harrison his first summer signing if the Whites gain promotion to the Premier League, report Football Insider.

After spending last season on loan with the Whites, Harrison returned to Elland Road last summer for a second loan spell, with the winger netting five goals in 40 appearances this season.

And if Leeds do manage to get themselves over the line, they plan to bring Harrison back to West Yorkshire for a third time, with that move poised to be a permanent one.

Harrison's City contract does not expire until 2022, meaning Leeds may have to fork out just below £10m to land him on a permanent deal.

Albion eye QPR winger

West Bromwich Albion have identified Bright Osayi-Samuel as a top summer target.

The Sun is reporting that Albion are already preparing for life back in the Premier League and are keen to secure the QPR  winger in the upcoming window.

According to the report, Slaven Bilic's side are set to offer £8million for the 22-year-old.

Forest make this transfer decision

Nottingham Forest are ready to sell Joao Carvalho in the summer.

The 22-year-old has struggled for regular game time under Sabri Lamouchi, and according to The Sun, his future at the club is now in doubt, with Forest prepared to let him go to Olympiacos for £15m.

Carvalho was linked with a move to both Olympiacos and Trabzonspor in the January window, although no deal ever materialised, but the Greek side are now believed to be keen on securing the 23-year-old this summer.

Woodgate desperate to keep Coulson

Jonathan Woodgate will do everything he can to keep Middlesbrough’s young winger Hayden Coulson this summer.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a host Premier League clubs, including North East rivals Newcastle United.

But according to a report in the Northern ECHO, Woodgate is keen to build a team around Middlesbrough’s promising youth and will do all he can to keep Coulson.
