'Bielsa has the wrong man!' Leeds United told to ditch move for Liverpool star and go for £35m Wales winger

Leeds United have been told they should sign £35m-rated Wales star David Brooks over his international team-mate Harry Wilson.

Newly promoted Leeds have been heavily linked with Liverpool's Wilson so far in the transfer window as they try to build a squad to challenge in the Premier League.

But former player and pundit Danny Mills believes Brooks is the man they should move for.

He told Football Insider : “I think he is more of a Bielsa-type player. His work rate is obviously exceptional and he’s willing to get up and down and put a real good shift in for the team.

“You’d have to say that on the face of it would seem a better fit for the type of player that Marcelo Bielsa wants in his team.

"Harry Wilson is very creative but maybe we haven’t seen the other side of the game so much.”

Bournemouth winger Brooks has been linked with a host of top clubs, with Leicester City 2/1 favourites to sign him. Champions Liverpool close behind at 3/1.

Crystal Palace are slightly further back at 6/1 to secure the services of Brooks while West Ham are at 11/1.

Wilson also finds himself in a similar situation following his loan stint with the Cherries.

The wideman netted seven goals under Eddie Howe but appears unlikely to force his way into Jurgen Klopp's first team plans at Liverpool.

Leeds are the 7/4 favourites to take Wilson to Elland Road.

It puts Bielsa's men well ahead of Newcastle (7/1), Brighton (8/1) and Aston Villa (9/1) when it comes to the possible signing of Wilson.
