Champ, Biden’s other dog, and Major moved into the presidential house in January
(Picture: Adam Schultz/The White House)President Joe Biden’s dogs have been returned to his Delaware home after one of them bit a member of White House staff, according to a report.
Major Biden, who was adopted by the President in November 2018 from a local animal shelter, had a “biting incident” with a member of White House security, two sources with knowledge told CNN.
It is not known whether the attack, which happened last week, left the victim needing any care but it was considered serious enough for the couple to send him back to their Biden home in Wilmington, Delaware, where he remains.
According to CNN’s sources, Major is well-known for his “agitated” behaviour which includes “charging” barking and jumping at members of staff in the White House.
Champ, Biden’s other dog, and Major moved into the presidential house in January, just less than a week after the inauguration.
Although Biden departed on Monday afternoon for a two-day trip to visit military bases, a person familiar with the dogs’ schedule confirmed that the pair are known to stay with a minder when the first lady is out of town.
