Bid to find owner of adventurous Falkirk area cat which has turned up in Hamilton

An appeal has been launched to find the owner of an adventurous moggy lost in South Lanarkshire.

The fearless Falkirk feline has been wandering about the streets of Hamilton for the past ten days after jumping out the back of a laundry van which was making a delivery to a butcher on Low Waters Road in the town.

It is thought to have jumped into the Elis laundry vehicle in Grangemouth and made the 20-odd mile trip.

One local has decided to take things into her own hands and has launched a search to reunite the cat with its owner.

Jane Devine contacted Falkirk Live in the hope someone recognises the cat.

The animal, which is a male, is said to be quite a fussy eater and has lost some weight.

Jane added that despite efforts trying to catch him so he can he checked over my a vet and to see if he’s microchipped, he’s not the easiest to get a hold of.

If you have information as to who the cat belongs to, emails us: news.falkirklive@reachplc.com or drop us a message on Facebook or Twitter.
