Officials responded to a traffic collision about 6:36 a.m. at Jewell Road and Pleasant Hill Road, Winfield police said.

An investigation found the 42-year-old man was riding his bicycle on Jewell Road when a 67-year-old man driving a 2009 Honda Fit struck him, police said.

The younger man was taken to Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
