Bibimbap Korean restaurant extension plans in Glasgow city centre given go ahead

Plans to extend popular city centre Korean restaurant Bibimbap have been given the go ahead by Glasgow City Council.

In October of last year, we reported on proposals which would see the West Nile Street eatery extended around the corner into Gordon Street, the former home of travel agent Flight Centre.

Since opening in early 2018, the Korean food spot has been a major hit and in November 2019, Bibimbap opened a second venue in Glasgow's west end.

Planners have given approval for the expansion of the city centre space, subject to certain conditions, however overall the proposals have been deemed in keeping with Glasgow City Council's development plan.

On completion of the works, the premises would extend to 20 Gordon Street, neighbouring the Riverhill Coffee Bar.

Exciting news!
