Bianca Gascoigne is freezing her eggs aged 34 after split from Kris Boyson

Former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Bianca Gascoigne is freezing her eggs amid fears of her “biological clock” ticking.

The 34-year-old TV personality explained that she plans to 'take the pressure off' meeting a new partner by freezing her eggs later this year.

Bianca shocked her fans when she split from fitness instructor Kris Boyson in February 2021, after nearly one year together.

As her plans to marry Kris and start a family with him went bust, the former Gladiators contestant decided to secure her future by undergoing a procedure that can cost up to £6,000.

Back when the couple was still an item, Bianca admitted that neither of them was “getting any younger” and that she thought they would have had “really cute babies”.

Nevertheless, the former Love Island contestant did not give up all hopes as her baby plan still holds.

I“I’m 35 in October and I’m at the age where women start to worry about their biological clock," she told Closer magazine.

The daughter of Sheryl and Paul Gascoigne went on to explain that she wants the option to have children in the future and “didn’t want to leave it too late”.

“I definitely see settling down and having kids as the next stage in my life, but seeing as I’m single now it makes sense to do this as a kind of insurance,” she said.

Bianca revealed that she had only started to take the idea of becoming a mother seriously following her relationship with Kris and after their split.

She explained that as a woman who had not always been maternal, it was witnessing her best friend having children that changed her mind about having her own family.

“I was never one of these girls who said, ‘I want to get married at this age and have this many kids’,” Bianca said.

“But over the past few years I’ve started to think I’d like to be a mum.

“One of my best friends has three children and I absolutely love and adore them.

“My friend is now absolutely desperate for me to have children so, she says there’s no better feeling in the world.”

Bianca’s procedure will mean that she will have to inject hormones on a daily basis in order to produce several eggs before undergoing a minor operation to retrieve them.

Despite the costly process demanding a yearly fee to keep her eggs frozen, the TV personality has her heart set on starting a family later down the line.

Bianca is still considering getting pregnant "naturally" and meeting a partner (WARNING TAKEN FROM INSTAGRAM CAPTION: Bianca Gascoigne LINK TO PAGE: https://www.instagram.com/p/CEJ98W8nV34/)

“I feel relaxed about my fertility declining now,” she explained.

“I know there is no guarantee it will result in a pregnancy further down the line, but I have been told the younger you are when you freeze your eggs, the greater the chance of success, so it makes sense to do it now.”

Bianca’s dreams of creating a family are still on the table, as she did not deny that meeting someone and falling pregnant naturally is still a possibility.

She went on to admit that the procedure would help her avoid rushing into anything too serious if she potentially meets someone.

“I want to make sure it’s the right time, with the right person,” Bianca said.

“The idea of having children is a big deal for me and it has to be completely right.”
