Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay signs condolences book in memory of Dr Singh

Thimphu: Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay on Tuesday reached the Embassy of India in Thimphu and signed the condolences book to offer tribute to former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.

Tobgay fondly remembered Singh's unwavering support and personal friendship, expressing gratitude for his role in launching Bhutan's 11th Five Year Plan, a testament to the strong bond between the two nations.

Tobgay shares post on X 
He signed the condolences book in memory of the Dr. Manmohan Singh at the Embassy of India in Thimphu. 


“He will be remembered as a true friend of Bhutan who played a pivotal role in strengthening the ties between Bhutan and India. We offer our heartfelt prayers for Dr. Manmohan Singh and extend our deepest condolences to his wife and family,” Tobgay said in another post.

Dr Singh dies on Dec 26
Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 92 due to age-related medical issues in Delhi on December 26. 

He was cremated with full state honours at Nigambodh Ghat on December 28.
