Bhopal: Youth duped of Rs 1.5 lakh on pretext of job

BHOPAL: A 25-year-old youth, who is preparing for police and armed forces exams, was allegedly duped by an online fraudster to the tune of Rs 1.50 lakh on the pretext of a job in armed forces.

Crime branch registered a case against the unidentified accused on his complaint and are investigating the details of bank accounts in which the money was transferred.

Investigating officer SI Raman Sharma said that complainant Hemant Mithoria, 25, received a message on WhatsApp in which it was mentioned that if anybody needs a job in police or armed forces they should contact. When Hemant started chatting with the message sender the accused introduced herself as a woman posted in the forces. She assured him of a job and took Rs 1.49 lakh.
