BHOPAL: Mother of a child got married with a Gujarat-based man telling that she is unmarried. She also gave wrong information to the youth about her name and caste. The case was registered at Kamla Nagar police station on the directives of court on Saturday.
Police said the Kolar-based woman got married to Gujarat youth two years back in Bhopal.
She hid her marital status, name, caste and fact that she is already mother of a child. Her relatives also helped her in the crime. On the directives of the court, the police registered a case against the woman and her accomplices under different sections, including forgery, cheating, and extortion among others.
The complainant Naveen 28 is a resident of Gujarat. He met a Bhopal based woman through a social networking site and they started chatting. The woman told her caste and other details matching with the youth.
The youth believed her and after chatting for close to a year and talking on phone, they decided to marry. In 2019, the youth came to Bhopal and got married to the woman in a temple under the jurisdiction of Kamla Nagar. The documents the woman gave of her name, caste, address were fake.
