BHOPAL: No deaths were attributed to the Covid-19 infection in Bhopal in the last fortnight, in the state health bulletin. Moving ahead, vaccination along with Covid-19 appropriate behavior is vital to getting over the pandemic.
“Currently, considering the patients being treated, virulence of the virus seems to have decreased. Multiplication of viral increases cannot be predicted. Going by western trends, Delta Plus is active. On the other side, much of the population has been vaccinated,” said Gandhi Medical College (GMC) pulmonologist, Dr Parag Sharma.
“Vaccination has definitely helped. Our observation is that health workers who were fully inoculated, did not get critically ill. Covid-19 appropriate behaviour is absolutely critically factor in fighting the infection,” said AIIMS Bhopal medical superintendent, Dr Manisha Shrivastava.
“Severe Covid-19 is linked with some kind of pneumonia, which is infection caused inflammation of the lungs, right down into the alveoli. Such patients have declined in general OPD treatment,” said Dr Rajiv Singh.
