Bhopal: TT Nagar police sent into tizzy after woman complained her twin 20-days-old baby sons went missing from footpath

BHOPAL: In a shocking case reported at TT Nagar police station early on Friday morning, a 27-year-old mother approached police and alleged that her twin sons aged 20 days were abducted by unidentified accused.

She alleged that she kept her sons wrapped in a blanket on a footpath in front of a shop at Rang Mahal Square and went to attend nature's call. When she returned, her sons were missing from the spot. Police registered a case on charges of abduction against unidentified accused and started investigations.

However, when police checked the CCTV camera footage, they found that the woman was not carrying her sons. Police checked the CCTV camera footage on the route from her home in Kolar Guest House area till TT Nagar and found that the woman was carrying her sons till Habibganj area. Police were suspecting that either she handed over the babies to any person on the way, or she may have thrown them on the way. Police searched all the spots where debris was thrown on the route with a possibility that the woman may have thrown the babies.

The woman was not in a condition to talk properly and even not eating anything. Her family members were also not able to reveal much in the matter.

Additional DCP Shrut Kirti Somvanshi said that the complainant Sapna Dhakad, 27, a resident of Berasia, was married to Brijmohan Dhakad, a resident of Kolar Guest House area in 2017. The couple have an elder daughter and she delivered twin sons on September 7. Her husband worked as a driver and presently he is jobless. She alleged that she fed her sons around 4.30am on Friday and left home to go to her parents' home in Berasia. She alleged that she left home due to a dispute. She alleged that between 6.15am and 6.45am she reached Rang Mahal Square and felt the urge to attend nature's call. She kept her sons wrapped in a blanket on the footpath in front of a shop and went across the road to attend nature's call. When she returned her sons were missing. Subsequently, she approached TT Nagar police to lodge a complaint. Acting on her complaint, police registered an abduction case against unidentified accused and started investigations.

Addl DCP Somvanshi said that when police checked the CCTV camera footage, they found that the woman was not carrying her sons in Rang Mahal Square area. When police checked the CCTV camera on the route of her home, she was seen carrying the babies near Habibganj police station. Police feared that either the woman threw the babies on the route or handed them over to any other person.

Addl DCP Somvanshi said that the woman was not in a condition to talk properly. She has not eaten anything. Her family members were also clueless in the matter. They refused that any dispute took place in the family. Police were investigating the case on top priority.
