BHOPAL: A 21-year-old newlywed woman committed suicide at her home in Chhola locality on Sunday afternoon. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot.
Investigating officer SI Sumer Singh said, deceased Pooja Gaur originally hailed from Jhansi and she had got married to Chhola-based Sunil in 2020, who works as a painter.
SI said, on Sunday afternoon Pooja hanged herself at her home. Around 4 pm when her brotherin-law Anil found her hanging, he informed Sunil, who had gone out for some work. He rushed back home and took her to hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival and alerted the cops.
