Bhopal: Man thrashes daughter’s stalker, booked

BHOPAL: A man laid a trap to nab the stalker of his 11-year old daughter. When he caught the accused red-handed, he thrashed him.

The incident was reported in Bilkhiria on Tuesday morning and the accused is a minor.

The survivor, in her complaint, alleged that the accused was a senior at her school.

For the past few days, whenever she walked down the street to her school, the accused would waylay her. He would then perform some stunts on his bicycle to impress her. Then he would sing songs.

Police said that the accused repeated this for some days. Disturbed, the survivor told her father around two days back.

On Monday night, the survivor’s father decided to follow her to catch hold of the accused red-handed.

On Tuesday morning, when the survivor was walking towards her school, the accused again waylaid her and repeated his stunts and sang songs. Furious, the survivor’s father thrashed the accused.

Both the families approached police and lodged complaints.

The father of the survivor was booked on charges of assault under relevant sections of the IPC and the Juvenile Justice Act.

A counter case on charges of molestation was registered against the accused on the survivor’s complaint.
