BHOPAL: A 34-year-old woman was allegedly raped in Aishbagh on June 27 by a man who promised to marry her. The survivor met the accused Karan Singh, who works as a driver and lives in Old Subhash Nagar, a year ago.
The accused befriended her and promised to marry her. On June 27, he went to meet the survivor at her home and allegedly raped her promising marriage. A few days ago, when the survivor pressured him to marry her, he allegedly refused and blocked all contact with her. Feeling cheated, she lodged a complaint at Aishbagh police station on Monday.
