BHOPAL: In a meeting of district administration and police officials presided over by divisional commissioner Malsingh Bhaydiya, it was decided that all the preparations for the Independence Day should be completed by August 12. The full dress rehearsal for Independence Day would be conducted on August 13 at 9.00 am.
Bhaydiya said that in the current circumstances, the number of guests and visitors watching the Independence Day function is expected to be far more than the previous two years and sitting arrangements should be made accordingly.
He further said that it’s “Amrit Mahotsav” of our Independence and it should be celebrated in a befitting manner. It should be ensured that guests coming to participate in the function don’t face any problems. He said arrangements should also be made in the wake of the possibility of rain during the programme, so that there is no disruption or inconvenience to people at the venue of the programme.
During the meeting, PWD and Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) were asked to come together for arrangements in the event there is rainfall during the function. IG, SAF, also briefed the meeting on the arrangements.
Officials of revenue, PWD, public relations, BMC, SAF and police attended the meeting. Police commissioner Makrand Deoskar was also present on the occasion.
