BHOPAL: In a brutal murder case reported in Jehangirabad in Madhya Pradesh capital Bhopal on Wednesday evening, a six-year-old boy was allegedly abducted by a neighbour brother-sister duo and strangled to death with a wire.
The accused man stuffed the body in a sack and took it to his sister's rented home in Chhola locality by an auto-rickshaw.
They were planning to dispose the body at night but Jehangirabad Police, acting on the complaint filed by the deceased boy's mother, registered an abduction case and recovered his body from the woman's home in Chhola.
The accused are relatives of the deceased and revealed that they killed him over an old rivalry with his parents.
Additional deputy commissioner of police (Zone-1) Ankit Jaiswal said that Javed Khan, a resident of Jhada Colony in Jehangirabad, is a tailor.
He resides with his wife Shahida Bi and two minor sons.
The deceased Fardeen, 6, was his younger son, a student of class 1.
Additional DCP Jaiswal said that Shahida told police that in the afternoon around 2pm, Fardeen was playing outside the house and went missing.
The family members tried to search for him and when they failed, they reported the matter to Jehangirabad Police.
Acting on information, police registered a missing person's complaint which was converted into an abduction case as the boy was minor.
Jaiswal said that during investigations, a minor boy, who resides in the neighbourhood, told police that he had seen Fardeen going into a neighbour Farzan's, 18, home.
Police also recovered a CCTV camera footage in which Farzan was seen boarding an auto-rickshaw outside his house.
He was carrying a sack on his shoulders.
Police detained Farzan and interrogated him.
Initially, he tried to mislead the police but soon revealed that his sister Samrin, 24, had taken Fardeen to her rented home in Kalyan Nagar Chhola.
A police team raided Samrin's home and recovered the sack in which Fardeen's body was stuffed.
The boy was brutally strangled to death with a wire.
Jaiswal said that the accused revealed that Samrin was married but after a dispute she resides separately from her husband.
Their mother Faruqa and elder brother Musharraf were not at home when they committed the murder.
The additional DCP said that Fardeen's mother Shahida Bi and the accused are cousins.
There was an old dispute between them over a property due to which they wanted to take revenge.
Samrin had bad intentions in her mind so she often objected to Fardeen from playing in front of her home.
This led to disputes between the families due to which she was filled with anger.
On Wednesday when she and her brother Farzan spotted Fardeen playing outside their home, they called him inside and Samrin strangled him to death with a wire.
Subsequently, Farzan took the body to her home in Chhola to dispose it of.
Police have arrested both the accused and registered a case on charges of murder against them.
