Bhopal: 40-year-old farmer kills self in Khajuri

BHOPAL: A 40-year-old farmer died by suicide at his home in Khajuri locality on Tuesday night. No suicide note was recovered from the spot, said Khajuri police who registered a case.

Investigating officer ASI Sher Singh said that the deceased, Geeta Prasad, resided with his family members in Bakania village in the locality and was a farmer.

ASI Singh said that on Tuesday around 6 pm, when the farmer’s wife went to visit a doctor’s clinic along with her 10-year-old kid, he opted for the extreme step at home. Around 7 pm, when she returned home, she was shocked to find him hanging.

The statements of the grieved family members are yet to be recorded till Wednesday night. Further investigations are underway, cops said.
