INDORE: Vinayak and Sharad, two of three accused in death case of Bhaiyu Maharaj were out of Indore months before the incident in 2018, said cook Saroj Solanki during a cross examination in case on Friday before trial court.
Vinayak, who was one of the most trusted sevadar, was out of Indore for two months before his death but he along with Maharaj’s father cremated him after his death, said Solanki before the court.
The other accused, Sharad, was also not in the district for six months before the incident, said Solanki during cross examination.
Bhaiyu Maharaj is believed to have committed suicide by shooting himself in his daughter’s room at Silver Springs Township in the city on June 12, 2018.
The police in its 366-page charge-sheet had made a case of abetment to suicide, extortion, and criminal conspiracy against three accused -Vinayak Dudhale, Palak Purohit and Sharad Deshmukh.
All the three accused had been arrested on January 18, 2019 after preliminary inquiry into the case and were in jail since then.
Solanki was not aware of any health issues related to Maharaj and was never told about that by his second wife Ayushi, she told the court.
Solanki further stated that Maharaj’s public relations officer Shekhar Sharma had better know how of his personal life.
Advocate Dharmendra Gurjar, counsel for Sharad and Vinayak counsel advocate Ashish Chourey cross examined the witness.
The next date of hearing is October 28 and 29, when two CSP’s and forensic experts are asked to appear before court for cross examination.
